Celebrating a Decade of Daftarkhwan

A decade has changed everything. The way we work has been radically transformed, industries have evolved beyond recognition, and technology and AI continue to redefine what a workday even looks like. From a pandemic to a global recession, it's been a decade full of challenges no one saw coming. But what hasn't changed, what carried us through all of it, is the people. Our incredible, ever-growing community that showed up for each other, lifting us all up along the way.

In August 2016, Daftarkhwan opened its doors to enable startups and enterprises by giving them agile infrastructure and placing them at the heart of a trusted triad of founders, investors and innovators. What began as a 20-member facility in Lahore has, over ten transformative years, grown into 510,000+ square feet across eleven sites in the major cities of Pakistan, firmly establishing Daftarkhwan as the nation's leading premium coworking brand. But the real growth isn't in the square footage. It's in the thousands of people who've walked through our doors and made Daftarkhwan a part of their story.

At Daftarkhwan, we've been committed to building experiences that go beyond your desk. It's the community events, networking nights, the townhalls, the workshops that turn strangers into collaborators. Ten years of these moments have made Daftarkhwan feel like home for people belonging to different backgrounds, industries and abilities.

From a single site to a nationwide network, Daftarkhwan's expansion has been strategic and deliberate, each new location built to serve a specific gap in the ecosystem. Recent notable locations include Daftarkhwan | Lake City in Lahore and Daftarkhwan | Skyline in Islamabad, both signalling a shift toward premium experiences built around community.

Over the years, Daftarkhwan has made significant strides, securing funding from Pakistan's first unicorn, Dubizzle Group; partnering with the Pakistan Air Force to launch Daftarkhwan | Alpha; and becoming the first coworking space in the country to achieve STZA status. Daftarkhwan has also had the honour of hosting delegations from across the globe.

Today, Daftarkhwan is home to a diverse supercommunity of 5000+ members, with companies spanning startups and SMEs to established enterprises and MNCs like Unilever, British Council, Reckitt, Beyond One, Siemens and Careem, among many. Since inception, Daftarkhwan has partnered with leading industry names, weaving a synergistic network essential to the entrepreneurial ecosystem, among them Open Silicon Valley, Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN), Google Developers Group, ITCN Asia and P@SHA.

Ten years ago, Daftarkhwan set out to build more than just an office. We set out to build a place for people to make memories, take chances, and craft journeys worth telling. Every milestone we’ve achieved so far belongs to the founders who took a leap, the teams who grew here, and the friendships that started over a shared desk. So as we mark ten years, we're not just celebrating what we built, we're celebrating you.
