The Best Place to Work For Gen Z

Gen Z, born between 1997 and 2012, have become a major part of the global workforce. With many now in their late twenties, they have moved beyond entry-level roles to reshape workplace norms. Projected to make up 30% of the global workforce by 2030, according to Forbes, Gen Z’s presence represents a fundamental shift in how organizations approach workplace culture and flexibility.

This generation of professionals has different expectations from both their work and their workspace. “86% of Gen Zers say meaningful work is key to job satisfaction, and 44% would reject employers whose values conflict with their own.” Moreover, they appreciate flexibility, with nearly “77% considering work-life balance central to a successful career.” Understanding these evolving trends, and as Gen Z gradually steps into key roles, companies are compelled to reimagine their workplace culture; one that fosters community, camaraderie and prioritizes mental wellbeing.

With 49% of our workforce comprising Gen Z professionals, Daftarkhwan has been cultivating an environment that empowers young talent, not only supporting the businesses it serves but also nurturing its tribe, whose dedication has contributed to the growth of the company for nearly a decade. From its inception, Daftarkhwan was designed to be more than just an office, breaking away from the traditional monotonous daftar (office) to offer a space that feels like home. We have been committed to creating an environment where individuals can be themselves at work, have their voices heard and thrive in a culture that celebrates inclusivity and belonging.

In recognition of these efforts, Daftarkhwan has been honored with the “Best Place to Work for Gen Z Workforce 2025Award. The award is based on a rigorous, survey-driven methodology conducted by Engage Consulting in collaboration with the Pakistan Society of Human Resource Management (PSHRM) that gathered anonymous employee feedback, evaluated workplace practices and benchmarked results against national and international standards.

This recognition marks more than an achievement, it highlights the culture we’ve been deliberately building at Daftarkhwan. Our goal has always been to create a space where work isn’t just about tasks and deadlines, but about community, connection and personal growth

At the heart of our efforts is our commitment to building a tribe guided by empathy, continuous learning and doing what’s right. These values are reflected in our initiatives that support both mental and physical wellbeing. From breast cancer awareness campaigns to sessions with clinical psychologists, we provide a platform to openly discuss topics like burnout, women’s health, work anxiety, and emotional resilience, helping our people navigate the challenges of modern work life. Our spaces also ensure that your work is not confined to your cubicle or desk by providing thoughtfully designed amenities like cafes and kid’s playrooms that cater to diverse lifestyles.
